I have a unique relationship to poetry. Unlike my prose, I let poems flow without judgment or deep consideration. I find those quick brushstrokes have a natural home on a platform like Instagram. For the last two weeks I’ve dropped some poems there as they come to me. I’m not saying this is the best way to make poetry, but it’s been mine. Anyway, here’s what I’ve been sharing lately…

My poetry writing process is best summed up as, "If
responds to a prompt, I probably will too." 😂 Thanks for inspiring this writer of prose to branch out, Zack. This prompt comes from Museum of the Lily. If you haven't read Calla's original, go do that now. It's incredible. Thank you, Calla for the start. It was the perfect opportunity for a little reflection.
